Northumberland-based artist Michael Ewart has been painting and drawing since he was a boy, and to this day still takes great pleasure each time he puts paint to canvas.

Throughout his entire life, Michael has been drawn to the tranquillity of creating original pieces, taking inspiration from his travels throughout Europe and the beautiful Northumbrian coastline.

Famously known for his boat and harbour scenes, being Northumberland-based means he has instant access to an abundance of stunningly pictures coastal towns and villages.

Only offering original one-off pieces allows Michael’s paintings to maintain their unique style and exclusivity. Michael specialises in painting vibrant oil-based pieces which capture the energy and depth of his subject - whether it be figurative, city, sea or land-scape.
